The Dark Archives
September 19-20, 2026 - New York, NY
A cinematic photography weekend inspired by gothic literature and dark film.
The Dark Archives is an immersive photography project bringing together a cast of models to inhabit the haunting worlds of gothic storytelling.
Inspired by classics such as Dracula, Frankenstein, Jane Eyre, The Phantom of the Opera, and the works of Edgar Allan Poe, the project explores the dramatic, romantic, and eerie aesthetics that define the gothic tradition. Participants will be cast in characters drawn from these stories and photographed in a series of cinematic scenes throughout New York City.
Over the course of the weekend, we will create a collection of stylized portraits and narrative images inspired by the atmosphere of gothic film and literature. Expect moody outdoor locations and dramatic lighting designed to evoke the feeling of stepping into a dark romantic tale.
This project is designed as a collaborative creative experience. Cast members will work together to bring these stories to life through costuming, performance, and visual storytelling while creating striking portfolio imagery in the process.
In addition to the photography sessions, select participants will join a guided evening exploring some of New York City’s most atmospheric locations, followed by a themed dinner with the cast.
A portion of every ticket will be donated to charity.
With a limited cast and carefully curated roles, The Dark Archives aims to create an intimate and memorable creative experience for everyone involved.
