We are stepping through the fog and into The Unknown for a multi-day immersive editorial photoshoot inspired by the dark autumnal fairytale world of Over the Garden Wall.
I'm gathering a small, dedicated cast of models, character performers, and storytellers for a weekend project. Expect misty ravines, 19th-century timber bridges, pumpkin harvest villages, and eerie candlelit interiors.
Have an incredible weekend creating and becoming a part of the tale.
How it Works
This is a by-application only project. I will cast who I feel will best fit each role. This project is great for cosplayers or folks who want to make their own costumes on the theme! But if that doesn't suit you, options are available to add on your costume fees.
Casting and pricing is done by tiers (see below). Full character descriptions are available for you as well.
After casting, Liza will let those selected know the exact location for the accommodations. Thursday the cast will arrive at our Airbnb, Friday and Saturday are shoot days, and Sunday we will checkout and head our separate ways. The final project will be a gorgeous editorial type gallery full of images that tell the tale of Over the Garden Wall!
Tier 1 - Lead ($500-$600)

Tier Focus: Spotlight Title Roles & Main Story Anchors. These are the most iconic, high-demand characters of the series. Pricing reflects high role demand, dedicated solo directing time on set, and a maximum retouched image delivery.

Perfect for local performers, creature actors, or anyone who wants a budget-friendly way to be part of a cinematic fairytale production without committing to an overnight stay.

Focused, single-day set access. You drive in for a specific shoot day, immerse yourself in high-concept group storytelling, get your featured shots, and head home without needing an Airbnb bed.

The Vibe: Majestic, enigmatic, serenading. A soulful amphibious gentleman floating through The Unknown. Equal parts adorable, absurd, and effortlessly iconic. Needs someone comfortable delivering deadpan, theatrical charm (and ideally holding a clarinet).

The Look: Open to all genders and body types. Styled in dapper 19th-century steamboat formalwear—a tailored vest, top hat, vintage brass instrument, and whimsical editorial makeup/accents.

The Vibe: Intimidating, ancient, and fiercely protective—with a terrifying secret. She rules her cottage with strict discipline, dark folklore authority, and a booming, gravelly presence.

The Look: Severe Victorian mourning gown or heavy black textiles, dramatic high-collar shawl, iron skeleton keys, and a hand-held brass bell. Dramatic, high-contrast contour makeup or prosthetics to accentuate sunken, intense features.

The Vibe: Cryptic, booming, and surprisingly reasonable. The ancient harvest leader of Pottsfield who presides over Maypole dances and autumn burials with quiet, terrifying majesty.

The Look: High-concept harvest god. A sculpted/carved pumpkin mask or headpiece, layered burlap and woven straw textures, oversized dark vintage farm coat, and a wooden staff.

The Vibe: Crafty, deceitful, and unsettlingly hospitable. She appears as a frail, welcoming weaver living in a secluded cottage, but hides a sinister intent—weaving golden thread and wielding giant shears to turn lost children into wooden servants.

The Look: Late 19th-century domestic witch aesthetic. Layered dark Victorian house dress, a heavy knitted shawl, worn spectacles, and graying hair pinned into a severe or untidy updo. Requires theatrical aging makeup, sunken contouring, or a performer with strong, expressive features.
