Over the
Garden Wall

A Cosplay Photography Project

November 5-8, 2026

We are stepping through the fog and into The Unknown for a multi-day immersive editorial photoshoot inspired by the dark autumnal fairytale world of Over the Garden Wall.

I'm gathering a small, dedicated cast of models, character performers, and storytellers for a weekend project. Expect misty ravines, 19th-century timber bridges, pumpkin harvest villages, and eerie candlelit interiors.

Have an incredible weekend creating and becoming a part of the tale.

How it Works

This is a by-application only project. I will cast who I feel will best fit each role. This project is great for cosplayers or folks who want to make their own costumes on the theme! But if that doesn't suit you, options are available to add on your costume fees.

The investment for this project is $600 per person. Everyone will pay the same amount regardless of role. This is what Liza charges typically for ONE hour of time for a solo session. Bed assignments will be made based on a cast survey and according to sleep styles and needs.

After casting, Liza will let those selected know the exact location for the accommodations. Thursday the cast will arrive at our Airbnb, Friday and Saturday are shoot days, and Sunday we will checkout and head our separate ways. The final project will be a gorgeous editorial type gallery full of images that tell the tale of Over the Garden Wall!

What about Costumes, Food, & Transportation?

To keep costs low, costumes, food, and transportation are not included. Typically the cast organizes group meals and splits grocery costs. Costumes are available as an add on from Liza with an additional fee. Transportation is your responsibility.

Greg

  • The Vibe: Unbothered, chaotic good, endlessly optimistic. Must be able to deliver pure, unscripted joy on camera.

  • Look: Open to all genders/backgrounds, Taller than Greg, highly expressive eyes, older than Greg

Jason

  • The Vibe: Soft-spoken, bafflingly popular. He doesn't fight for the spotlight, the room just naturally bends around him. He’s the guy who brings total calm to chaotic situations, plays a mean clarinet, and somehow makes awkward small talk sound like deep poetry.

  • Look: Open to all genders/backgrounds, Vintage 1980s preppy meets quiet academia. A forest-green corduroy jacket, layered collared shirt, earthy trousers, and classic wavy or textured hair. Must be able to pull off an easygoing, magnetic grin that drives the Wirt completely insane.

The Woodsman

  • The Vibe: Haunted, rustic, burdened by duty. Needs an intense, soulful gaze that looks like it’s seen a century of shadows.

  • Look: Open to all genders/backgrounds, Weathered features, full beard preferred, comfortable wielding a lantern in dark foliage.
